We need to develop a new set of admin permissions for a user that has general access to post/remove status notifications, but not have access to advanced dashboard features or billing. Not so much as a matter of trust, but more as a matter of keeping things as straightforward as possible.

Component-Level Incident API

We’re currently using the incident history endpoint (the /history data) to understand when incidents occurred and which services were affected. That data feeds an internal evaluation layer that helps us determine whether an incident is relevant to a customer’s specific environment. They can then validate on their own and gather evidence using their own RMM/NOC.

For long-running incidents, it really would help to have notifications whenever a service updates the incident. They often add context such as new resolution ETAs, impact updates, and more. StatusGator should offer an alert level that sends all of those updates, even if the status of the service remains the same.

Allow notifications to multiple Slack channels

If you have services that are relevant to multiple Slack channels, it would be helpful to configure those services to send to multiple Slack channels. This is similar in spirit to "Separate email notifications per service"

Static IPs for webhook egress

My custom monitoring tools are IP restricted due to bank policy. I was looking to switch from polling StatusGator to webhooks to lessen burden on both sides and hopefully get more real-time but it’s not a blocker. I can keep the polling model until/if egress static IPs are added.

Handle multiple messages/details

Sometimes multiple incidents happen at one time on a given status page, especially those with a large surface area. StatusGator should be able to aggregate separate incidents and their corresponding trail of messages separately and alert on all of them.

Transparent background for Status Embed

It would be great if the page had a transparent background, rather than white…. I had to be very careful with the size of the iframe (our support system doesn’t let us embed javascript)… because the white back kept peeking through behind the widget.
